Last.fm sells out to CBS, who then sells you out to the RIAA (?)
Shocking allegations from Tech Crunch. I don't know about you, but I'd be nervous keeping a last.fm account. The allegations warrant further investigation and, if true, likely run afoul of privacy laws. It clearly violates their TOS and privacy policy.

Hi, nice post, did you ever tried to go to Musichijack.com for downloading music there i can find all music and never hed problems, you can also download&convert YouTube Videos as MP3 cool :P

So, should we be scared? I really wouldn't call making a ton of money off of your idea "selling out". I mean, I know last.fm has its loyal followers but the ultimate goal isn't always to do what other people think is "right", it's to be rewarded, monetarily, for your hard work.

Regardless, I do worry about this happening with a lot of sites. Big company offers the owner of a site a large enough sum of money to gain access to it's users information.

I think its very discouraging whats happening at the record company level these days. The good part is its been a total power shift with artists ability to self publish over the internet and produce albums on a Macbook.
