Which of these Simpsons characters is coming out of the closet?. Rumor has it that Patty will, but I have my money on Smithers. Besides obviously having a thing for Burns, he is an obsequious brownnoser (no pun intended, eeew), like the clingy and ambiguously gay Robin in the 'Batman' TV series. Why do you think he calls him Boy Wonder and they slide down poles together in tight clothing. Hmm. Anyway, here are some Smithers gay references for your perusal.
