The Numark IDJ iPod DJ mixer is for kindergartners

The Numark IDJ iPod DJ mixer is for kindergartners

The Numark IDJ is a reality. Unfortunately, it has NO PITCH CONTROL. There is therefore no way to DJ with this piece of junk. You cannot mix channels 1 and 2 without matching beats and call that DJing. For digital DJing, I recommend Traktor DJ Studio or Ableton software plus Stanton's Final Scratch, a Firewire processer/mixer that uses special time-coded vinyl or CD allowing you to use a turntable or DJ CD player to mix any digital file. Of course, if you are a purist, stick with the Technics.

Thanks to Matt from beatmixed, who recommends Rane/Serato Scratch Live as an alternative to Final Scratch.
