- President Bush booed at 2008 Nationals home opener (video)
The boobirds were out in full force in DC for the Nationals home opener at their new ballpark as President Bush threw out the opening pitch. - Black Kids - I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You (video)
This video features the as yet unreleased album version of their song, "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You". I love the video but honestly, I prefer the EP version of the song. The single comes out April 7th. - Adele - Cold Shoulder (video)
New video for Adele's "Cold Shoulder" features strobe lights and melting ice sculptures. - GQ Interviews Keith Richards
Excerpts below feature Keith Richards' rambling thoughts about everything from Mick's sexuality, cheese phobia, moisturizing, and the Beatles. At Mick’s gayest, how gay was he?
It was camp.
Camp?
Yeah. It was all… I really have no idea if anyone ever shoved it up the sh*tter.
-----
Do you have any other phobias?
As far as bodily, no. Cheese is a no-no for me. Everybody else, go eat it. Just take a look at yourself. Fermented milk is not the ideal choice for everyday eating, that’s all. [laughs]
-----
Do you regret not moisturizing your face?
No. I leave that up to other people.
Ever think about getting Botox?
No one’s ever talked me into doing that. You’re lucky if you walk out of there alive. God bless you.
-----
Do you think the Beatles are overrated?
Oh, definitely. So are we.
Why?
In that moment, the Beatles… But how can you—I mean yes. I’ll say yes. As a musician, yes. As a breath of fresh air and an injection of life into society, no, they were certainly not. They were exactly what was needed. It was a great enema.
What does that make you guys?
A great toilet bowl. [laughs]
-----
Is there a Stones song you feel is the best articulation of your philosophy?
It’s hard to put it into a two-and-a-half-minute song. But I think “Tumbling Dice.”
Will you have them play that at your funeral?
I hope so. Just as long as I’m not there. [laughs]

Muxtape, Peter Moren - Social Competence (MP3), Shearwater - Rooks (MP3)
- Mo's Muxtape
What is Muxtape? It's a way to upload a mixtape and share it with anyone, anywhere. It's simple to use, has a clean layout, supports mouse or keyboard control, and streams high-quality audio. However, the functionality is quite limited. You can only play, stop, or change tracks and you can't seek within a track. Hopefully, they will add this feature, genre tags, and RSS in the near future.
I'll update the muxtape from time to time. The first installment features:
The Teenagers - Starlett Johansson
Mark Brown feat. Sarah Cracknell - The Journey Continues
Bob Sinclair and Steve Edwards - Together
Dengue Fever - Woman in the Shoes
The Ruby Suns - Tane Mahuta
Los Campesinos! - Drop it Doe Eyes
Port O'Brien - I Woke Up Today
Idle Warship - Industry Diary
She & Him - Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?
Ann Vriend - (If We Are Not) Spies
Basia Bulat - True Love Will Find You In The End (daniel johnston cover)
Laura Cantrell - Love Vigilantes (new order cover) - Peter Moren - Social Competence (MP3)
Yes, you've heard him before. It's Peter from Peter Bjorn and John, but he sounds eerily like Lennon on this tune. Eat your hear out, Liam Gallagher. - Shearwater - Rooks (MP3)
I wish more bands had side projects of this quality. Apparently, it's a bit dark and ornithologically obsessed to appear on an Okkervil River album.

Can't escape the auto-tune madness. Introducing T-Wayne. - Lupe Fiasco feat. Nikki Jean - Hip-Hop Saved My Life (video)
This is an great video that gives me a new appreciation for the song. It's sorta like a 4 minute abridged version of Hustle and Flow. - For your amusement: random comments extracted from MetaFilter and YouTube for side-by-side comparison.
Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes (MP3)
Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes on hype machine or here if it's still available. (Note: I did not upload these. Just sharing the love.)
This is the first single off her eleventh (and last) studio album with Warner, 'Hard Candy'. It features Justin Timberlake and is produced by Timberland. Yes, it's pretty predictable, but you know it's going to be an irresistible mega-hit on the dancefloor. In addition to Timberlake and Timbaland, Pharrell, Felix Da Housecat, Swizz Beatz, Akon and Kanye West will all contribute to the new album.

Buraka Som Sistema (videos), Justice - DVNO (video), The Helio Sequence (video), I Am Legend alternate ending (video)
- Buraka Som Sistema feat. M.I.A. - Sound of Kuduro
Awesome song and video from Buraka Som Sistema, with help from M.I.A. I have no idea what Sabrosa is spitting, but she sure sounds angry doing it. - Buraka Som Sistema - Yah!
Bonus Buraka Som Sistema vid. - Justice - DVNO (video)
If you like the D.A.N.C.E. video, you'll definitely dig this one as well. - The Helio Sequence - Keep Your Eyes Ahead (video)

This was supposed to be the original ending, and it's a shame that it wasn't. - FUH2

Poor Kristen, aka Ashley Alexandra Dupre. If you believe there's no such thing as bad publicity, then this is your big break. But allow me to impart some candid career advice: Don't quit your night job.
Santogold - L.E.S. Artistes (video), Biggie Hendrix Experience (mashup album), La Pequeña Amy Winehouse (video), more
- Santogold - L.E.S. Artistes (video)
Strange video. It's a surreal mix of Skittles colors, horror, and lots of paint. - DJ Doc Rok - Biggie Hendrix Experience
Another mash-up album. Decent concept, but it's not only Hendrix tracks that are mashed. Nothing too revolutionary, but it's still worth a listen. I prefer the MIA vs. Chamillionaire and Luda mash on his myspace. - La Pequeña Amy Winehouse (video)
Chilean Amy Winehouse midget, FTW. - Sigur Ros - Heima (video)
97 minutes of beautiful Icelandic imagery with a Sigur Ros score. Yummy. - Food Fight (video)
Interesting stop motion creation depicting wars since WWII, using food from each of the involved countries. Here's the original site and food cheat sheet. - The Roots - 75 Bars (video)
Bad-ass new song from The Roots. - Robert Downey Jr is black in an upcoming film
What a bizarre casting decision.

NIN - Ghosts, Gnarls Barkley causes seizures
- NIN - Ghosts
I still haven't downloaded the first nine tracks of 'Ghosts' because I haven't been able to get into the site. Server issues aside, it appears to be another proof in principle of the viability of the Radiohead distribution model, at least for mega-bands and mega-artists. They've made at least $750,000 in just 2 days due to sales of special edition versions. - Gnarls Barkley Video Banned From MTV
Their video for 'Run' apparently fails the Harding test. The strobe effects may thus induce seizures in epileptics. Be sure to have that Dilantin handy.
