King - She's Into Star Wars

King - She's Into Star Wars (m3u stream)

"She's into Star Wars, and she knows all the lingo, I'm so into her, sexy interstellar."

This song might be stuck in my head the rest of the week. If you like Gwen Stefani's last album, this sort of fun-hop pop might be right up your alley. It features what sounds like a riff from Johnny Boy's "You Are The Generation Who Bought More Shoes and You Get What You Deserve", including backing vocals from that singer.

The song is by new artist King, who is embarking on a new solo career after collaborating with Outkast on the Speakerboxx/Love Below LP and No Doubt on the Hey Baby single. King is embarking upon a solo career with a mission to take hip-hop, rock and pop to the next level.

Press release excerpt:

King’s music refuses to conform to standard categorization, and is a bold new breed of artistic expression. His style is woven together with threads of spacey hip-hop, straight pop, alternative rock, and spoken word.

His future is sure to build upon the strong foundation he’s established, characterized by broad influences and highlighted with dynamic performances. His first single, “She’s into Star Wars,” can be found on Itunes, Rhapsody, and Napster and is the frontrunner to become the next smash hit pop song. Don’t expect this talented artist to make a loud bang and then fizzle out though, as the debut single is designed primarily to whet the music loving public’s appetite for his new EP, which is due on shelves by late 2005.
