Indie Pop Gem: Bill Ricchini

Bill Ricchini has a new album entitled "Tonight I Burn Brightly". Songs such as 'Eugene Hill' on his MySpace site have a distinct Beatles vibe, while other tunes evoke Belle and Sebastian or The Velvet Underground's third album. Even a quick listen to his tunes makes it clear his style of indie pop is unpretentious as emotion pours forth from each song. I wish I had MP3s to share, but I highly recommend checking out his site or MySpace.

His previous album 'Ordinary Time' was a self-released demo in 2001 that generated buzz among music critics and was hailed as Best Unreleased Album of that year by Salon.com.
