Apple MacBook Air
The new MacBook Air has just been announced. Sure, it's relatively slow and lacking in the features department, but it sure is purty. Here's a full discussion at Slashdot.
A nice surprise is Apple's selection of Yael Naim's charming song "New Soul" for the Macbook Air ad. Fans of Feist, St. Vincent and Regina Spektor, listen up.
Yael Naim was born in Paris and raised in Israel, along the way picking up a diverse mix of influences to fuel her unique brand of folk pop. After a serendipitous meeting with multi-instrumentalist David Donatien, a few years of sweat and tears, and the gradual assembly of an eclectic group of musicians, her music has really been able to find the perfect complementary pieces to take her songs to a new level of beauty and wonderment.
So far, she only has tour dates in France, but here's hoping that the MacBook Pro ad does for her what the iPod Nano ad did for Feist (not that each of them would not have achieved some degree of fame on their own musical merits without the help of Apple). Come to the States, girl!

Here's another one: a mind-blowing, stripped-down cover version of Britney Spears' "Toxic".
