Live: Spiritualized
OK, I promise: no more Paris posts for the next 24 hours. =)
After innovating from the underground with Spacemen 3 (their philosophy was to 'take drugs to make music to take drugs to'), Jason Pierce formed Spiritualized to develop his own brand of mesmerizing, minimalist rock. The music is an otherworldly, spiritual experience, an effect that is achieved without a layered cacophony of sonic clashes (like with Puressence).
I highly recommend "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space for an initial listening experience as well as "Lazer Guided Melodies".
