Audioscrobbler temporarily fuxored

If you haven't seen your Audioscrobbler recently, you may be surprised to find some stats that are WAY outta line. For instance, look at the top four artists above in my Audioscrobbler. Those are total song plays. Embarrassing! I'll admit that Girls Aloud are a guilty pleasure of mine, but if I listened to them or any artist for that matter 721 times in the span of one day, put me in the nut house!

Here are some details from their forum:

As reported in this thread and elsewhere, some users yesterday experienced huge increases in their 'tracks played' totals and in the reported plays in their charts for particular tracks and artists.

We are aware of the problem, and have now patched the original issue that caused it. Audioscrobbler song submissions will be up and down for the rest of the day as we test these changes.

We are working on a tool for affected users to repair their profiles with, but it may take a day or two for this to be ready.
