Mommy and Daddy

Hmm, another boy/girl duo; well, this ain't your mama's White Stripes. Fans of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, take notice. Vivian Sarratt and Edmond Hallas call themselves the "Sonny and Cher of Electro-Punk". Very well. This D.C.-based electro-punk duo will release their slammin' EP this Friday, and it promises to be a big step up from their debut LP. Armed with drum machines, abused bass guitars, noisy synthesizers, and alternating guy and girl vocals, they sound like a deliberately noisy blend of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Le Tigre, and The Misfits on speed.

NME
"Gutter-scuzz pop that ransacks everything from PiL to The B-52's"

Q Magazine
"Calculatedly brutal... thrillingly sardonic."
